DeKalb County Revenue Commissioner
COVID-19 Response for the DeKalb County Revenue Office
Due to Governor Kay Ivey’s latest order in regard to the COVID-19 virus to prohibit groups of 25 or more, the Revenue Office will be adjusting our hours. Beginning Monday, March 23rd thru Friday, April 3rd our lobby will be closed to the public. We will be operational with a skelton crew by phone or online. Again, all mail fees and credit card fees have been waived during this time for Motor Vehicle taxes. It doesen’t cost you any additional money to utilize these options. Additionally, the state has waived all late penalties through April 15th. As of right now, beginning April 6th – April 16 we will be waiting on customers on an appointment basis ONLY. The Rainsville office will remain closed through April 16th. Our hope is to be back to normal operations beginning April 17th but please follow our facebook page for updates. We apologize for these inconveniences but we are doing everything we can to keep this from spreading so that we can all get back to our normal lives as soon as possible.
